During the day you can combine surfing and food with views of Morro Solar; at night take an app back and avoid long walks through poorly lit areas. For a simple visit: ride in to the beach or viewpoint, stow your valuables, and agree on a pickup spot before you need it. Pantanos de Villa (wetlands) is a good morning outing with a guide. Not recommended as a base for a first visit — services are spread out and safety varies by sector.
